Wedding at The Liberty Hotel | Boston, MA | Colleen + Pete

If you love all things classic, elegant, and perhaps Matt Damon, you’re going to love Colleen and Pete’s heartwarming wedding at The Liberty hotel this past weekend.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day are the toasts. I love getting to hear stories about the bride and groom. Stories and one-liners that often lead to happy laughter in the room.

While giving her toast, the beautiful bride’s sister and maid of honor, had everyone laughing as she quoted Colleen in saying that she and Pete found love in a hopeless place.

That hopeless place was law school.

Colleen and Pete met as first-year law school students while taking classes together.

During their engagement session, they both had a chance to present their case of how their story began.

Pete’s version of their love story was girl sees guy and falls totally in love with him. While Colleen’s version was guy sees girl and falls totally in love with her.

Their working on Moot Court as teammates would bring them closer together and they fell in love.

We started their joyous wedding at The Liberty Hotel with the bridal party getting ready. Although there were high hopes for the bride to get ready in the Ebersol Penthouse, there was a special guest that day who we will all agree was in attendance for their wedding.

That special guest was Matt Damon. Yes, Matt Damon!! Pete got a picture with him, and that just might end up in their wedding album.

The entire day was full of laughter, warm smiles, and happiness!

After bridal party prep, we headed to the yard for their first look. Colleen was absolutely stunning in her Essense of Australia gown from Ve’Lace Bridal. The look on Pete’s face was priceless not only during their first look but as she walked down the aisle.

I love the tender looks they gave one another throughout their ceremony and the sheer excitement of their family and friends.

The celebration ensued in the ballroom as they made their entrance, danced their first dance together, made their rounds to greet everyone and later showed off some serious dance moves as Mark kept the party going on the dance floor.

Colleen and Pete, thank you for the honor to be part of your day. It was a joy to see your family and friends celebrating with you!! I know that you are going to do a great job raising poorly behaved cats together:) Have an amazing fall mini-moon!! xo, Shawon
