Greek Orthodox Wedding | Hilary + Apostolos

It’s Tuesday, and I’m delighted to share a few favorite moments from Hilary and Apostolos’ intimate Greek Orthodox wedding this past weekend.

Fall is my favorite season, and the colors were brilliant on Saturday. We haven’t yet reached the peak of the season yet, and it’s already breathtaking in many places like Newburyport, one of the settings for this sweet couple’s wedding day.

Hilary and Apostolos are two beautiful, gentle, and kind people. It was such a pleasure to be with them on their wedding day.

He loves her creativity, intelligence, and kindness. She loves his sense of humor and imagination.

Hilary has such a gracefulness about her, and let me also tell you that Apostolos has some serious dance moves.

The day started with me first going to see the guys for photos at a hotel not far from Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. They enjoyed a toast and opening gifts from the groom before heading out to take some group photos.

After spending some time with the guys, I headed out to see the ladies and meet a few of Hilary’s favorite pets. She loves animals and calls herself a cat lady. Apostolos happily agrees and calls himself a cat dad. I love it!!

I got to meet two of her dogs and cats, and her sweet cat, Barbara.

Hilary also had personalized jewelry boxes with each bridesmaids’ name monogrammed on the outside to hold the beautiful bracelets that she also gave to them as gifts.

Before driving to the church, when enjoyed the fall air and a few photos of Hilary and her bridesmaids along with her parents.

Wedding Ceremony at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church

Their wedding ceremony was at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Amesbury, MA. It was my first time photographing a Greek Orthodox wedding, and the ceremony was beautiful.

Apostolos’ little brother did a wonderful job standing with his brother, and I love the happiness that was all over his face as he watched Apostolos gleam as his beautiful bride walked down the aisle.

Wedding Reception at Vasa Waterfront Kitchen and Bar in Salisbury, MA

The reception was at Vasa Waterfront Kitchen and Bar in Salisbury, MA. Their wedding day was intimate, warm, and joyful as they celebrated with their closest family and friends. At the wedding reception, Hilary’s dad gave the sweetest toast. He said that their family seemed to be getting smaller, but on Saturday it felt as though it was growing again. Beautiful!!!!

Hilary and Apostolos, it was an honor to celebrate with you on your wedding day! You two are lovely together and it has been great getting to know you! It was hard to say goodbye on Saturday, so I’m sending another big hug your way!! xo, Shawon
