What It Really Means to Ignite Your Brand & Build Your Business

Do you ever feel like you’ve checked all the boxes to have a brand that looks good… But you’re still attracting the wrong clients??

You’ve got the pretty website. Pretty colors. Perfect fonts. Check, check, and check.

And yet, something feels disjointed. You are unsure of where to focus your time and energy. You never know what to say in your online marketing.

And looking at your client acquisition patterns…you’re nodding your heading and agreeing.

When you’re in the early to intermediate stages of developing your business, it can feel like you have all the pieces to a 10,000-piece puzzle—but no idea what the final picture is supposed to look like!

You may want more than anything to focus on business-growing activities that feel authentic and move the needle towards growing a profitable and sustainable business…. But you have absolutely no idea:

What those activities are

What order to do them in

Whether they’ll actually get you closer to your goals

You’re on social media. You’re networking, wearing all the hats in your business, doing all the things…

…But you still feel like you’re getting nowhere. You’re not giving up, but you ARE getting tired. Everywhere you look, it seems like someone’s telling you to hustle. That you’ll do the work if you really want to be successful. That this is all part of the entrepreneurship experience.

But deep inside, you can’t help but wonder… Is it really supposed to be this way?!

Believe me… I’ve been there! When I first started my business, I had no idea what I was doing. I had big dreams and the ambition and work ethic to match, but I constantly felt like I was….

  1. Spinning my wheels
  2. Putting my time and energy in the wrong places
  3. Running on empty

I spent tons of money on many shiny objects (new equipment, online courses, and advertising) that I THOUGHT would be my golden ticket.

Advertising that I thought I’d be able to set it and forget it. I wanted to put all my marketing into one basket…

…And I trusted that somehow, the clients would just come pouring in.

I vividly remember the day my sales rep gave me a great piece of advice: Don’t forget that you’ll need to put in the work to fill all of your marketing buckets if you want to grow your business.

I’ll spare you the whole story, but suffice it to say, her words stuck with me. I realized that if I wanted to grow a truly impactful brand, I’d need more than just the visuals.

What Does It Really Mean to Build a Brand?

If you’re like me circa my first few years of business, you probably think ‘branding’ refers to your brand colors, fonts, logos, and all that fun, pretty stuff. If so, you aren’t completely off base. But it’s about SO much more than that, too. For example:

  1. Getting clear on your messaging
  2. Creating content that resonates with your ideal client
  3. Developing your marketing strategy

It took me a long time to realize that these core business pillars were all part of building a great brand. But once I saw the light, that’s when everything began to change in my business.

By focusing on building a solid brand, I was able to:

  1. More intentionally choose where/how I spent my time
  2. Focus my energy on the tasks that truly mattered
  3. Forge a connection with my audience

I started working smarter instead of harder.

I was able to implement repeatable frameworks and systems that helped me slowly take my time (and my sanity!) back into my own hands AND start getting dramatically better results in my business.

Are you ready to do the same?
