Building a brand can feel overwhelming.


As an entrepreneur, you have many things on your plate, and creating a brand that connects with the vision of your business is probably taking up quite a bit of space on that plate.


You might have a blurry picture in your mind of what it should look like. But it’s scattered and disconnected like 10,000 pieces of a puzzle dumped out on the kitchen table.


The problem is that there are so many necessary pieces. There’s one piece of the puzzle—the visually beautiful part of your brand. But there are also several other pieces of the puzzle to create a brand that is trusted, connected, and aligned.

How does anyone know where to start?


When I started my business nine years ago, I only had the visually beautiful piece in my mind. I thought branding was just choosing the right colors, a fancy logo, and visually pleasing fonts.


And all of those things were and are important—but nobody told me that I needed to get some other key pieces in place first so I wouldn’t waste my time fiddling around with aesthetics that didn’t connect and align.


I remember all too clearly the days of feeling like I was spending my time and my energy in all the wrong places.


I had Google and a little bit of success with my business. But it was a lonely road and I spent plenty of late nights gathering all the pieces by myself with no one to answer my questions. I took course after course without any real guidance, support, or accountability to implement that information.


The only two things I was confident about was my skill behind the camera and I knew that I wanted my clients to feel cared for.


How to build a brand and grow in a sustainable way. 


Well, eventually, I realized that I needed to do more than just gather information. I had to put the pieces together so that I could begin to grow in a sustainable way. But, again, I had absolutely NO idea where to start.


More often than not, this is where a lot of business owners get frustrated and spin their wheels. They waste a lot of time feeling unsure about their next step because they don’t have the framework in place that they need to grow confidently.


Personally, I made a lot of mistakes and encountered a lot of roadblocks before I FINALLY realized that growing a successful business has *very* little to do with …


  1. Pretty websites
  2. Fancy logos
  3. Unique fonts
  4. Interesting color palettes
  5. … Or any of that other fun stuff that usually pops into our heads when we think of “branding.”


But that was okay because I learned all the what-not-to-dos in the early stages of my business…


And I finally pieced together the strategies, tools, and frameworks women ACTUALLY need to know if they want to build a brand and business they love.
