Happy New Year! We are three days into the new year, and I am elated as I had the honor of ringing in the new year in a most memorable way at Kelli and Jeff’s Black Rock Country Club wedding! Their day was overflowing with love, joy, and beautiful anticipation as they celebrated their special day with their family and friends. Enjoy more about their story, their wedding and a few favorites from their day!
It was amazing to witness the love that Kelli and Jeff have for each other. Every part of the day held heartwarming anticipation.
They’ve known ever since their first date over two years ago that they had found the one, their friends and family knew when they saw them together that they had found the one, and on Monday, as they stood to say their vows the smiles on everyone’s face and the loved that filled the ceremony was an essence of great happiness for Kelli and Jeff because indeed they had found the one.
To know them is to love them and that sentiment was echoed throughout the day.
The start of their Black Rock Country Club wedding day…
We started their day with the wedding party getting ready at a Quincy hotel and spending time with Kelli and her bridesmaids and the two beaming moms first. After giving big hello hugs and saying hi to everyone, I started, as always, with the details and all of the something specials. One of Kelli’s something specials was a beautiful gold brooch that belonged to her Nanie in memory of her that adorned her bouquet. Love!!!
Their day was especially thoughtful, caring, kind, and fun which are only a few words to describe both Kelli and Jeff.
Morning preparations with the ladies were filled with navy PJs, pom-pom slippers, mimosa toasts, exhilarating laughter, a photo teaser sent to Jeff (great idea from Kelli’s mom), opening gifts and soon getting the gorgeous bride into her gown for a special first look with her dad. Love!!!
Before getting Kelli into her gown, I went to see Jeff and his party for a few getting ready photos and to capture him opening his gift from his lovely bride. He was especially calm on the outside, but he expressed that he couldn’t wait to see Kelli. Reading her words made him smile the widest smile, and made the anticipation of seeing her even greater.
We traveled to Black Rock Country Club for their first look, wedding party photos, and family photos with their parents.
Jeff’s anticipation to see Kelli had been building all morning and soon it would be time for their first look. The smile on his face was the best. He could not wait to see her. She had a special surprise for him. He knew that she wasn’t wearing a veil, but what he did not know was that she’d be wearing a beautiful lace cape to add to her stunning gown that everyone agreed was perfect for her.
The moment had come, and their first look was so beautiful!! The anticipation, the way in which they looked at each other, their smiles, and the numerous times Jeff walked circles around his lovely bride to take in all of her beauty was indelible.
Clouds filled the sky, but these two brought all of the sunshine to their day!!
Their evening ceremony was held at St. Agatha’s Church in Milton, MA. Kelli’s childhood priest, who’s known her since she was four, officiated their ceremony. His reaction to seeing Kelli at the altar was priceless. Before he began, he told her that she was absolutely beautiful.
Everyone was so happy for them, and the joy as they walked back down the aisle to celebrate their marriage was adoring.
The day could not have been more perfect for their New Year’s Eve wedding, and I’m sure that it will be remembered as an amazing celebration for everyone that was there.
Kelli and Jeff, it was an absolute joy to be with you on your wedding day! I have loved getting to know you over this past year, and I will be cheering for you always! Sending big hugs your way and I hope that you have the BEST honeymoon in Thailand! xo, Shawon
